The design of this jewelry reflects the special style of these ancient people of Northern Europe: According to ancient belief this piece of jewelry is said to cause fortunate changes in the life of its wearer and to attract inspiring dreams. Mani was according to Nordic myths the God of the Moon who illuminated with its light Náttdís, the Goddess of Night. The knot pattern of this pendant is dedicated to the moon and therefore to Mani and Náttdís.

This pendant is made of pewter - it has been enhanced by adding a silver coating over the pewter core and embellishing details of the design in gold. Artists and craftsmen used pewter quite early (dinnerware, sculptures, household articles, pewter figures, jewelry) and hence pewter jewelry has a long tradition.
