Brigid was the Celtic goddess of fire, the sky and the sun. In Ireland she was called "Bride of Golden Hair" and in England simply "Bride, the Goddess of Marriage". Being the goddess of light and spirituality Brigid's sun charm was worn to reveal the inner light of oneself.

This pendant is made of polished pewter embellished with one glass crystal. Pewter is a shiny, soft metal which is very malleable and has a good tarnish resistance. Artists and craftsmen used pewter quite early (dinnerware, sculptures, household articles, pewter figures, jewelry) and hence pewter jewelry has a long tradition. This piece of jewelry has been enhanced by polishing the pewter to give it an extra shine and was embellished with one prominent glass crystal.
