Magic Pentagrams and their Meanings:
Magicians and witches are writing pentagrams into the air within their ritual circle in order to be able to use their elemental powers and also the practitioners of high magic are using this symbol to protect them from negative energies and to keep these banned. The pentagram is one of the key elements in western magic tradition - the five points of its star are standing for the five elements of fire, water, earth, air and spirit.
The Pendant Double Pentagram:
Quite similar to the Asian Yin Yang symbol according to old belief this Double Pentagram can be used to boost every magical action. The two pentagrams of this pendant, one standing upright the other one upside down, keep reminding us that everything will for ever be in a constant flow, since they represent the duality of nature and the everlasting fight between light and darkness.
Example of a Charging Ritual from an old Grimoire:
1. Pentagrammon:
It is helpful if you carry the symbol close to your body for some time in order to get familiar with the magic powers of its pentagram before you start this charging ritual.
2. Preparatio (Preparation)
Find a quiet room and put a white tablecloth on a table there. Furthermore you should have ready a white candle with a candle holder, joss sticks or incense cones, a glass of water and a dash of salt.
Arrange it so that you are undisturbed and darken the room. Put the white candle, the incense and the glass of water on the center of the table - ignite the candle and the incense and put the symbol next to them. Close your eyes and meditate about the power and the symbolic meaning of the sign - it is important to imagine its effects as clearly as possible.
3. Purificatio (Cleaning):
Put a dash of salt into the glass of water and imagine how a gold-coloured light dissipates from the salt and into the water. Pour some of the water on the sign and imagine, how the pendant is glowing in a golden light - this way the symbol is purified by the element of water. Then hold the symbol into the smoke of the incense and purify it by the element of air in this way. Furthermore move it above the flame of the candle in order to purify it by the element of fire, and finally sprinkle some salt on it in order to purify it by the element of earth.
4. Potestatem Facere (Charging):
Close you eyes, take the symbol into your hand and imagine, how a sphere of brilliant white light is hovering above you - feel the power and the size of the sphere. Imagine with your inner eye a golden beam of light which comes out of the sphere, flows through your head and into your solar plexus and this way strengthens and warms you with a golden light. Again think about the symbolic meaning of the sign - then let gold-coloured light flow through your arm and your hand into the symbol.
5. Salvatio (Reorientation):
Take a drink and eat something to relax and to lead your body back into this world. This charging magic stays in effect as long as you wear the symbol close to your body.
6. Exoneratio (Discharging):
This ritual has filled the symbol with powerful energies and it will therefore cause special changes in your life. If these changes are undesirably strong you can discharge the pentagram by imagining how the energy leaves the symbol and by simultaneously holding it under running water for a few minutes.

About us
We were always fascinated by pieces of jewelry designed according to historical artwork and magical and other old motifs are a main area of our jewelry collection until today. Nowadays we all are surrounded by designs and motifs from all over the world which we usually choose according to visual aspects without considering the original meaning and symbolism of the various depictions. For sure the beauty of the different designs and materials is a good reason for selecting them but the affinity to a special piece of jewelry or art craft can be enhanced if one knows its deeper meaning and its origin. For this reason we always placed value on the accurate representation and information explaining the various pieces of jewelry in our collection.
Jewelry always had various functions which changed during the course of time: Because of the precious materials that were often used for its design it often was a valuable asset and sometime was even used as a currency. But especially in ancient cultures the spiritual meaning of a piece of jewelry was always important and the different motifs were symbols for the affiliation of its wearer to and his status in a social group. Furthermore jewelry can also serve a practical purpose like this is the case with safety pins, belt buckles and brooches.
Since jewelry is such a diverse cultural asset the meaning of a given piece can depend on the point of view and beliefs of its creator. For example many cultures developed pieces of jewelry showing to others whether its wearer is married or single: In our Western world these are the wedding rings while in African countries e.g. special bracelets or necklaces are worn for this purpose. Whether we are talking about weddings jewelry or talismans and amulets that were used for protection - often the decorations and materials determine the symbolic meaning of a piece of jewelry.
Not only the used symbols and decorations differ strongly between the cultures - a huge number of different materials were also used in the course of time. In the beginnings especially shells and pearls of wood and bone were used, because these natural materials were readily available and could easily be processed. Later the precious metals silver and gold became more and more important and also the use of precious stones increased. Nowadays all possible materials are used to underline the meaning of a piece of jewelry even further thereby creating pendants and other jewelry that could not be designed using traditional materials.
