Small Pentagram - Pendant

According to the beliefs of many cultures the five-pointed star of a pentagram concentrates mystic energies and thus helps its wearer to reach set goals and secret wishes. Because of this the pentagram is an inherent part of many magic rituals and spells. The small pentagram therefore is an ancient and universal symbol for magic and witchery.
 
This pendant is made of pewter. Artists and craftsmen used pewter quite early (dinnerware, sculptures, household articles, pewter figures, jewelry) and hence pewter jewelry has a long tradition. The word pewter is probably a variation of the word spelter, a colloquial name for the same metal. Pewter is a shiny, soft metal which is very malleable and has a good tarnish resistance.
