Medieval Fortune Charm against Mental Troubles and Bad HabitsPendant This amulet is divided by eight spokes which symbolize the infinite power of God. The horizontal spoke standing for the human powers of comprehension is crossed on the left side by three vertical lines. These three lines are a symbol for the Trinity which is effective as a divine power in the external material as well as the internal spiritual world. On the right side we can see the same symbolism once again, however, this time with the characters TR standing for the word Trisagion (= three times holy). The letters A and M on top of the pendant mean Anno Mundi signifying as much as "since the beginning of the world-quot. This old talisman originates from the magic book "Key of Solomon", which is said to have been written by the biblical king himself about 3000 years ago - in medieval times this charm has been extended using Christian symbols. According to old beliefs this medieval fortune charm should make it much easier to get rid of bad habits, to overcome mental troubles and dark thoughts and to defeat addictions of all kind. Hence, this talisman as a whole symbolizes that God in his threefold being of Father, Son and Holy Ghost watches over its wearer since his birth and supports him. This pendant is made of brass and copper. With the exception of gold copper is the only colored metal and just like silver and gold it is classified as a precious metal. The brass, a copper zinc alloy, is responsible for the yellow golden parts of this piece of jewelry. The copper on the other hand is used for the red golden parts and is particularly suitable for the jewelry production due to its softness and malleableness.
